BRODEUR, John - July 31, 2011. The Brodeur Family sadly announce the passing of John Brodeur, Air Canada employee of 35 years. John passed away peacefully on Sunday July 31, 2011 with his family at his side after a valiant battle with cancer. In retirement John worked at the Royal Winter Fair, Hunters Glen Golf Course & Rosedale Village Golf Course.

He had a passion for hockey, the Montreal Canadiens & coached minor hockey in Brampton for many years. He attended & worked at the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Fantasy Camps & developed friendships with many NHL players. Survived by his wife of 46 years Lori, sons Christopher (Amberley) & Patrick (Janet), grand daughters Milena & Rachel, brothers Tom, Jim & Doug. Pre-deceased by sisters Francis,Barbara & his parents Ida & Sib Brodeur. Survived by many in-laws, nieces & nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Bruce Herman, the Palliative team at Brampton Civic Hospital & the Home-care providers who made it possible for John to spend his final weeks at home.

Funeral arrangements are at Brampton Memorial Gardens. Visitation Satuday August 6th 1-3pm & 7-9pm. Funeral will take place Sunday August 7th at 1:30pm. Cremation & private interment to follow. Donations can be made to "Dreams Take Flight".

my deepest condolences to Lori and all the Brodeur family......I started with Air Canada in 1965 and was trained on the food trucks by John.....when he found out i was a Montreal fan i was in like flint....we had many good times together and i will have many fond memories of him.....rip.....bob
