CAPTAIN LAING, George H.  (Air Canada Ret.)
Suddenly at Riverside Glen Nursing Home in Guelph, Ontario, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease on Sunday, June 5, 2011 in his 89th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Bernice Laing (2010). Loving father of Gordon and Fraser (Sue). Predeceased by his older brother Henry Duncan Laing of Vancouver, BC, the twins Malcolm "Mac" Laing of Wawa, ON and Elizabeth "Beth" Martin of Winnipeg, MB.

George was a decorated RCAF war veteran. He received the DFC and BAR for his great gallantry in the performance of his duty while serving with the RAF Pathfinders Squadron. George and his WARTIME CREW have a book written about them called "Bomber Flight Berlin" by Mike Rossiter.

After the war he joined TCA/Air Canada where he had a brilliant career travelling the world. He retired as Capt. on a Boeing 747 Aircraft.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, ON. A private family ceremony has taken place.
