CARRE, Hugh - January 21, 2012 (1926 - 2012) Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Jewish General Hospital. He was 85. Beloved husband of almost 50 years of the late Lily-Anne Seram. He leaves behind his children: Janet, Karen (Tom), Alan (Susan), and his six cherished grandchildren: Michael, Daniel (Veronique), Luc, Kirsten, Jesse and Liam. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Hugh was a very proud, hardworking man who would go out of his way to lend a hand to family and friends. He was a very active and social person. Hugh especially loved golf but enjoyed several activities like square dancing, curling, bridge playing and getting together with friends. Hugh had a lot of fun kidding around and loved to see you smile. He had a huge heart and a great laugh which we will cherish and miss the most. The family would also like to thank the Jewish General Hospital staff for their compassionate care during his final days. Visitation will be held at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, DDO, (514) 685-3344, on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from noon to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. A Reception and Celebration of Life will continue after the service. |
