Born in Cabri, Saskatchewan on May 8, 1918 son of William and Laura. Mac’s family moved to the family homestead in Yellow Grass, SK during the “dirty thirties”. From there he left for Vancouver, where he started a 40 year career in the aviation industry, nearly 30 of those years spent with CP AIR. The last 20 of which were spent in Amsterdam, Holland as Reg. Mgr. Line Maintenance Europe. Throughout those many years Mac and Louise traveled the world until finally retiring in 1981 in the Okanagan Valley, where they resided in Peachland, Summerland, Penticton and Westbank. He loved boating and fishing on our beautiful lake and enjoyed winters in Florida, Arizona and Mexico where he strived to improve his golf game.
The memories of his family, friends and colleagues stayed with him until the end and we will cherish those stories of his adventures forever. He lived a long and wonderful life, which we would like to celebrate with you on May 8, 2010 at Westwood Retirement Resort 2505 Ingram Rd. Westbank, BC from 2 – 4pm. A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at The Village at Smith Creek. In lieu of flowers a donation of your choice may be made to the Aplastic Anemia & Myelodysplasia Association of Canada (www.aamac.ca).
